With powerful upgrades to EFOS Shift Log and enhancements across the broader platform, our latest release equips teams with the tools they need to operate smoothly and confidently.
What’s new for EFOS Shift Log?
Checklists
Checklists are now fully integrated into EFOS Shift Log, bringing a new layer of structure and accountability. Administrators can create tailored checklists and assign them to specific shift categories. Once set, these checklists are mandatory, meaning that users can’t close a shift log if the checklist is incomplete. It’s a powerful way to ensure that critical safety and compliance steps are never skipped.
As users complete checklists, EFOS logs exactly who completed each task and when, creating a complete audit trail. These checklist interactions are not only stored in the database for future reference, but they also appear in the PDF export.
With checklists, EFOS Shift Log helps teams stay focused, consistent, and fully compliant, without adding complexity.
Pinned Log Entries
Log entries are typically ordered in chronological order, with the newest first. With the new pin tool, key log entries stay fixed to the top. Highlighted with a blue box and pin icon, they can’t be missed. Not only does pinning keep critical updates visible throughout the shift, but in the handover notes too. Therefore, supervisors can choose to carry it forward, maximising visibility and continuity between shifts.
Pinned log entries are also included in PDF exports, so visibility continues beyond the platform if needed. These Shift Log upgrades help teams keep critical updates front and centre during busy operations.
Attachments
Add supporting documents to any log entry or comment, at any time. Whether it’s a PDF report or image, attachments provide quick access to the context teams need to act confidently and stay informed.
You can upload multiple file types up to 10MB and remove them just as easily. Every attachment is time-stamped and linked to the uploader, helping maintain transparency and accountability across every shift.
Log Entry History
Every edit made to a log entry – whether it’s the category, importance, airfield, aircraft, flight number, comment, or pin status – is now recorded in a detailed history.
With the new ‘View History’ feature, users can see exactly what changed, when it changed, and who made the change. Expand any item to view previous and updated values, giving teams a complete, time-stamped audit trail for every log entry.
What else is new?
Beyond the Shift Log enhancements, this release brings exciting improvements across EFOS. Users will notice a more streamlined and user-friendly experience. Likewise, the Alerts and Reports module now let’s administrators fully customise report statuses beyond the default options, allowing better tracking that fits your team’s unique workflows.
Meanwhile, EFOS Training gets an upgrade in both useability and efficiency:
- One-click course postponement: Admins can now postpone a course and all its sub-elements with a single click. Whether you’re rescheduling a full course or just delaying specific modules, this update simplifies training management and reduces the chance of error.
- Top-level courses filter: Trainers now have the option to filter and view only top-level courses, helping them get to the information they need faster. This update is especially helpful when managing complex course structures.
