Evoke Systems and The Airline Pilot Club Announce Strategic Partnership to Advance Data-Driven Airline Training.

Evoke Systems partners with APC to bring AI-powered evidence-based training to airlines across the world.

Evoke Systems Limited and The Airline Pilot Club announced a new commercial partnership, bringing together the combined strengths of EFOS Training and Amelia AI to support airlines as they advance their Evidence-Based Training (EBT) and Competency-based Training and Assessment (CBTA) programmes toward a more data-driven, risk-aware future.

The partnership combines Evoke’s proven Training Management System (TMS) capabilities with APC’s AI-enabled Competency Management System (CMS), creating a complementary solution designed to help airlines strengthen operational oversight, improve training effectiveness, and deliver measurable business outcomes for airlines.

A Modern TMS + CMS Model for Airlines

In this collaboration, EFOS Training remains the operational backbone for training delivery — supporting scheduling, programme oversight, compliance, and regulatory reporting. Amelia AI is positioned as a competency intelligence layer, operating alongside and above the TMS to extract deeper insight from qualitative training data.

This TMS + CMS approach   enables airlines to move beyond simple scoring and compliance metrics, providing visibility into competency, resilience, and performance trends across fleets and bases. The result is insight that supports not only Training and Standards teams, but also Flight Operations, Safety, and senior leadership — including COO and CFO stakeholders increasingly focused on risk exposure, training efficiency, and avoidable cost.

Turning Training Data into Meaningful Insight

While EBT and CBTA have transformed how airlines measure competence, scores alone do not tell the full story. Instructor comments and observations, narrative feedback, and contextual judgment are essential, yet historically under-utilised.

By combining EFOS Training’s structured competency framework with Amelia AI’s ability to analyse and surface insight from qualitative instructor input, airlines gain a clearer, more complete picture of training effectiveness. This enables earlier identification of emerging risks, more consistent instructor calibration, and continuous refinement of training programmes — all while preserving instructor authority at the centre of the assessment process.

AI adds credible value to training delivery by supporting the human expertise to delivery truly adaptive learning and future decision making.

Built on Proven Capability and Real-World Experience

The partnership brings together deep operational, technological, and data expertise:

  • EFOS Training: The TMS of choice for airlines that are evolving and improving, using real world training insights to drive efficiencies, adapt learning, put people first and make informed decisions.
  • Amelia AI: an advanced analytics capability purpose-built to extract value from narrative training data and competency evidence

Together, they provide airlines with a practical, scalable solution that enhances consistency, management awareness, and decision-making while supporting individual development and long-term progression.

Craig Howard, CEO of Evoke Systems, said:

“Through EFOS, airlines are capturing more training data than ever before, but the real value lies in the embedded knowledge and how that can be used to support future decisions and improvements.

“By partnering with The Airline Pilot Club, we’re combining our class-leading EFOS TMS and 20 years of implementation experience with leading edge technology and solutions available in Amelia AI.

“All of our airline customers are at different stages of their analytical and AI journeys and adoption will take place at different paces and as the regulations evolve as we’ve seen with EBT over the past decade.

“Whether it’s EFOS driven insights or the combination of EFOS with Amelia AI, airlines will be able to find the right balance where AI adds credible value to training delivery by supporting the human expertise to delivery truly adaptive learning and future decision making.”

Cedric Paillard, Chief Operating Officer at the Airline Pilot Club added:

“EBT and CBTA succeed or fail on the quality of insight airlines can derive from instructor judgement and operational context. Amelia was designed to strengthen that insight — not replace it.

Partnering with Evoke allows us to align Amelia’s competency intelligence with one of the most trusted TMS platforms in the industry. Together, we enable airlines to connect training data to operational risk, training efficiency, and long-term performance outcomes, while remaining fully aligned with real-world airline operations and regulatory expectations.”

Designed for Real Airline Operations

Both EFOS Training and Amelia AI are built for the realities of airline training: high training volumes, multiple fleets and bases, regulatory scrutiny, and the need for consistency. The combined solution supports instructors, examiners, training managers, and operational leaders, reducing administrative burden while increasing visibility, control, and assurance.

Together, we enable airlines to connect training data to operational risk, training efficiency, and long-term performance outcomes, while remaining fully aligned with real-world airline operations and regulatory expectations.

A Shared Vision for Smarter, Safer Training

This partnership reflects a shared commitment to improving airline training through collaboration, innovation, and practical application. By aligning technology with real-world expertise, Evoke Systems and The Airline Pilot Club are helping airlines extract greater value from EBT and CBTA without adding complexity.

Together, EFOS Training and Amelia AI enable airlines to:

  • Strengthen competency-based training outcomes
  • Make better use of instructor narrative and feedback
  • Improve consistency, oversight, and regulatory confidence
  • Reduce operational risk and avoidable cost exposure
  • Create smarter, data-driven training pathways that support ongoing development
  • This partnership marks an important step forward — giving airlines the proven tools they need to deliver safer, smarter, future-ready training using solutions designed to succeed in real operational environments.

Product implemented

EFOS Training - the airline training management system designed to automate and centralise crew training delivery.

Before EFOS

Air Malta was struggling with a leave management process that was highly complex and labour intensive. Each leave request had to be processed manually, which meant pilots and cabin crew were forced to wait a long time to get confirmation of their leave.

After EFOS

EFOS Leave replicated the airline’s custom validation rules in the new digital platform. This made the transition smoother, as these rules were already accepted by both union representatives and crew members.

What they said

“The project was delivered very swiftly, enabling Air Malta’s team to quickly realise the benefits of the new software. The team at Evoke were committed and totally onboard for this project. The system was easy to understand, and help was always found along the project.”
