Our EBT Solution has been developed to include the following elements:
Identification of Training Needs
Clever validation within EFOS forms allows for the pinpointing of individual training needs for flight crew
Assessment & Grading System
The built-in VENN Grading System is an objective method of recognised assessment, providing consistent grading of pilot performance
The framework as published in ICAO Document 9995 and supported by EASA in NPA 2018-07 (B) has been adopted within the EFOS system
Existing scenarios and competency mapping recommended by ICAO are built-in to the system. New scenarios can be added with identified appropriate competency mapping
Major malfunctions are classified by characteristic rather than by the system malfunction. These characteristics are designed to be covered with the appropriate frequency within the EFOS system
Different types of conduct of approach with similar methodologies are clustered together to reduce the number of different approach types flight crew have to perform
The built-in Programme Designer allows Training Managers to accurately and easily build their 3-year EBT programme
Robust analytical tools perform the necessary analysis supporting instructor concordance assurance programmes
Intelligent built-in validation allows for the collection of critical data to compile crucial EBT analytical reports

The EFOS EBT Solution
We have undertaken extensive research and consultation to design and develop an innovative solution to help airlines looking to implement EBT. Our suite of tools are designed to help operators develop and plan a compliant EBT programme.

The EBT Programme Designer will allow Training Managers to accurately and easily build their full 3-year EBT Programme to obtain regulatory approval.
EASA’s Table of Assessment and Training Topics will be built-in to the Programme Designer, and be broken down by generation. During the set up phase, operators will be able to select the relevant aircraft generation for the type or types they operate. The list of Assessment and Training Topics will be broken down by phase and frequency, and mapped to the competencies which will fulfil the training requirements. Upset Prevention Training can also be included within this table.
Malfunction Clustering scenarios and characteristics will also be managed within the Programme Designer.
Embedded frequency validity rules and built-in competency balancing indicators will ensure it meets both regulatory and operating requirements.
Operator customisation will allow Training Managers to edit and modify the Programme Designer to add new scenarios and associated competencies as their EBT Programme develops.
Competency Mapping will provide Training Managers with an overview of the competency spread across their programme, ensuring a balanced spread across the modules and the programme as a whole.
