Case Study Training Management Suite
The challenge encompassed the set up of the whole efos Training Management Suite, including online exams, document store and the iPad App. The key tasks were to review the Airline’s current training records and forms, identify efficient training workflow process, and then build the forms. This process provides an excellent opportunity to minimise duplication and maximise digital automation, and data accuracy through effective validation of data input. This is achieved using the proprietary intelligent form features within EFOS. This form review and build process took place across training for Pilots and Cabin Crew staff often with forms completely re-engineered to achieve efficiency. The project included integration with the Airline Operating System to provide crew data into efos.
Working collaboratively both parties agreed the training workflow process, then Evoke built the forms, courses & qualification expiry management into the efos electronic environment, tested this alongside the Client and then built data intelligence reporting to meet compliance, audit and training KPI efficiency measures.
“The 2-way communication and clear direction we received from Evoke, ensured every element of the system build was a result of combined understanding and knowledge. This approach allowed both parties to add real value into the final training management solution. The new Course Management module has proven to be a highly beneficial module both on the Web and iPad, providing excellent visibility of our training progression. The new level of data intelligence reporting is already proving of real value to the Airline Training Teams. “
Head of Training
Once the data feeds had been built and tested the project involved the training form and course structure, design, build and test. Working with the training teams we built over 70+ electronic forms, with a mixture of face to face meetings, demos, recorded demos and regular weekly updates – sharing a wealth of knowledge and technical training expertise.
Group training took place face to face and via demos to allow a strong understanding of how to use the forms to their full potential, prior to ‘Go Live’ dates. The training teams then tested the forms and course structures in a staging environment. These ‘Go Live’ dates were completed in batches which allowed a controlled and manageable rollout across all departments. All workstreams were progressive and connected to bigger picture, which allowed a coherent and clear project plan to be followed.
